The first and most important myth believe about the greenhouse gases theory is that the earth always changed climate. The myth wants us to believe that the humans' emission of carbon dioxide is not contributing to the global increase of temperature. Science did prove that the earth did change climate about every 100,000 years because of its rotation. The theory of human not having a negative impact is false because we are adding carbon dioxide to the planet too rapidly. In the past, the carbon dioxide rose slowly and allowed the creatures and ecosystems to adapt to the steady change. On the other hand, our rapid addition of carbon dioxide can be harmful to many ecosystems and can certainly cause mass extinction. The dangers of rapid increase of greenhouses gases in the past were seen and we are about to repeat them.
One other proposed myth is that the global warming is over and the earth is beginning to cool. Scientist proved that the land masses and the water masses (oceans) have increased their temperatures over the years. In fact, since 1998, the average temperature of the earth has been increasing and the years following were observed and recorded to be the hottest. We just tend to ignore the idea of global warming because the land and the atmosphere are not warming "quickly". The proof is in the drastic rise of ocean temperatures.
